The Edward VII issue of the Distinguished Conduct Medal (EVII),̴Ì_is one of the rarest of the individual monarch issues of the medal, with the exception of the Boer War of 1899-1900, many rare awards exist.
The accession of EVII saw the medal design change and the trophy of arms on the obverse was replaced by the bust of the King in Field Marshal's uniform. Dated bars were still awarded during the reign of EVII.
