NATO Afghanistan Full Size Medal

The NATO full size Afghanistan medal award for contribution towards the NATO lead mission RESOLUTE SUPPORT from 1 Jan 2015. Those awarded completed 30 days continuous or 60 days accumulated service (60 days accumulated service must be achieved within a two-year period) in the designated Area of Operation. A period of qualifying service is not required due to injury or death as a result of official duty.

  • Metal: Bronze
  • Size: 36mm
  • Ribbon: Woven NATO blue with two equal white stripes close to each edge with a thin silver stripe down each whicte stripe
  • Presentation: Supplied on a 6” piece of loose ribbon in a small protective pouch
  • Optional Services: This medal can be supplied mounted, named or framed

The NATO Afghanistan Medal is not currently authorised for wear by UK personnel. Engraved is offered as a option for this medal although these medals were not originally issued named.
